Day 3 with Aquafresh White Trays

I examined my results after Day 3 of the Aquafresh test. Overall, I would say that there’s been a decent amount of whitening and this is evidenced by the fact that the teeth I haven’t included look dingy by comparison. I can see I am going to have to catch them up.

Smile

I haven’t minded using the trays, 30 minutes is not a lot of time to spend if you schedule it during a time of day when you are going to be relaxing and not eating or drinking.

The Pros:

* The trays are very soft and don’t scrape or cut your gums. They conform pretty well to your mouth.

* The trays are pre-filled which means that there is a lot less for you to do. Just position the tray and wait.

* The results are good enough that you will notice whitening in a reasonably short period of time. The three days to noticeable whiteness is accurate.

The Cons:

* The only con I can think of may be caused by my own klutziness. I ruined one tray completely by accidentally letting the gel strip inside touch my finger. It’s incredibly sticky and impossible to put back in the tray once it gets pulled out. Caution: do not touch the whitening gel inside the tray, it will stick to your fingers and ruin the tray.

The Aquafresh White Trays will retail at $34.99 for a seven day treatment. When compared to the price of cosmetic bleaching at your dentist, it’s a great bargain.

Day 1 with Aquafresh White Trays

Once I opened the box, it all seemed a lot easier than I had imagined. There was nothing to mix or pour or apply from a tube. The trays are already filled with the correct amount of whitener and individually sealed in sets of two marked “upper” and “lower”.

Teeth

The tray itself was softer than I had expected. The trick is to find a good time to spend 30-45 minutes with the tray in your mouth. But wearing it was not uncomfortable, as long as you weren’t trying to give someone a detailed explanation of quantum physics. Talking isn’t easy with anything in your mouth so watch TV, play a video game or surf the net while you whiten. The time goes by fairly quickly that way.

The taste was subtly minty, nothing overwhelming or tingly like having toothpaste in your mouth for half an hour.

Results are supposed to be visible in three days. It may be my imagination or wishful thinking but I thought I could see a slight brightening after the first treatment. I hope to see some real improvement by the end of the third treatment.

Journey to Whiter Teeth

Today I am embarking on an experiment. I am going to try a whitening product for teeth.

My teeth are not especially stained or dark, but everyone wants their teeth a little whiter and brighter, right? My bottom teeth will be my main focus as they are slightly darker than the top teeth and I want to try to match them up better.

Trays

Having obtained a free sample of Aquafresh White Trays, I am going to find out if all the claims they are making are true. The trays are used for seven days and they promise visible results in only three days.

I will be interested in seeing how comfortable (or uncomfortable) the trays are, the time invested and how much whitening results from my efforts.

Keep you posted.
