Purple is going to be one of the hottest colors for eyes this fall. And despite what you may think, everyone can wear purple.
Whether it’s plum or wine, berry or royal purple, lilac or lavendar, there is a shade to suit everyone. And it’s a very versatile color, lighter shades blend perfectly for daytime and deeper hues create a dramatic evening look.
Here are my three favorite purples:
Almay i-Color Shadow Trio This color trio is called For Browns but the lavendar is the color that will open up the eye and catch attention while the light and dark brown will enhance brown eyes.
Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eyeshadow Quads This quad is Berry Bloom. It has every shade of berry for either day or night. You can use the darkest shade for eyeliner and the lightest shade is perfect for highlighting the brow bone.
L’Oreal HiP These high intensity pigments in Charisma are vibrant and rich, making your eyes the dramatic focal point.

Summer days require natural, barely there looks, light dashes of color and shimmery gloss for lips. But now as autumn moves in with cooler days and warmer colors, so too, should your makeup colors warm up.
Eyes will be the focus this season, deep, dark and smoky. Eyeliner will be worn on both upper and lower lids. Apply soft pencil liner as close to the lash line as possible and smudge slightly, making sure to extend and smudge beyond the outer corner of the eye. Use a deep shade on lids, up to the crease to deepen the eye and a narrow brush line of the same shadow under the lower lashes. Use a lighter shade above the crease to blend or use a bronze or gold shimmer shade very lightly brushed over the whole eyelid.

New MAXeye eyeshadow combos contain three shades of eyecolor that can be applied dry for subtle day wear or with a wet brush for bolder evening color. The tricolor compacts come in 15 color combinations, everything from naturals to metallics.
With the fall season upon us, I love the foliage colors of the Queen Bee trio of hues.
Max Factor makes a dual purpose applicator brush with a sponge end for dry and a brush end for wet application. The drawback is that the brush does not come with the eyeshadow but must be purchased separately. Any good dual applicator will do though, so if you have one already, save the extra expense.

Maybelline has introduced a new line of “air-whipped” make-up called Dream Mousse. The line includes foundation and bronzer as well as blush and eye shadow.
The formula is named Dream Mousse because of its smooth, whipped consistency. The product goes on smooth and blends seamlessly. The foundation comes in 12 shades to match most skin tones, while the bronzer comes in two shades, Sun Glow and Glistening Sun to give you a sun-kissed look that’s just right.
The eyeshadow is yummy in shades of sherbert and sophisticated in the natural tones. The blush is soft and subtle with colors like Peach Satin and Cloud Wine.
Average price for each item is between $6 and $8 at local drug and department stores.
