Line Stylist by Maybelline

I love my spring collection of lip glosses, light and sheer or drenched with color. But my new favorite lip makeup right now is my Line Stylist Lipliner by Maybelline.

Stylist

For a long time my favorite eye liner was a Line Stylist. It’s time to get a new one, or two, as I used it so much it’s just about gone.

What makes these liners so great is the fine, precision line they make. The twist-up mechanism makes the liners self-sharpening and you get a very thin and easy-to-control tip.

The lipliner has a slanted tip for better application. It’s also enriched with Vitamin E so it glides on smooth and creamy and of course, prevents feathering and bleeding of your lip color. For lipstick I would line only the outer line of lips but for glosses, apply over the entire lip to make a base that will extend the wear time of the gloss.

Matte Eyes - Pouty Lips

It’s spring finally and under a warming sun that is creeping higher in the sky each day your makeup looks tired and out of place. Time to shake off winter routines and go for something light and breezy, something that lets the real you shine out.

Metallics are fine for nighttime wear but if you’re going to be out and about in the sunshine, you might feel and look more natural in mattes and neutral colors.

Expert

Eyeliner should be dotted in between the lashes, not a drawn line. Eyeshadows can be neutrals, pinks, sandy beige or earthy. Maybelline Expert Wear Eye Shadow Duo in Cocoa Delight or Indian Summer have neutral shades that are suitable for most skin tones. Try brown mascara if you have light brown or blonde hair, you can use black if your hair is darker.

When you get to lips, it’s okay to stay neutral but forget the matte and go for a moisture-drenched gloss. Gloss in barely-there hues will give you a fresh look and a hint of color. I like Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Nude Lustre.

Maybelline’s Shine Seduction

Maybelline’s new Shine Seduction Glossy Lipcolor is a gloss with a unique delivery system.

A twist of the wand produces just the right amount of gloss and the shaped tip ensures perfect application. It seems a lot easier and less messy than the traditional sponge-tipped wands that you dip into the tube of gloss. They increase the risk of bacteria being introduced into the product as well as sometimes leaving you with a huge glop of gloss to try to spread evenly.

Shine Seduction is enriched with vitamin E, aqua-botanical extracts, algae and lotus flower extract so that it is truly good for your lips and you get a fresh and healthy dose of gloss with each application.

It comes in both cream and shimmer shades, 20 different shades in all. From Nude Glow to Cherry Drizzle, all are rich in color and shine.

Instant Age Rewind

I don’t know about you but my tastes in foundation seeem to change from time to time. I go through phases of using cream foundation and liquid, as my consistency and coverage needs vary from time to time.

Foundation is a great way to cover blemishes and even skin tones, giving you a fresh canvas upon which you can create your make up look. But what if your foundation could do more? What if it could hydrate and firm your skin, protect it from harmful UV rays and give it a radiant glow?

Rewind 1

Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind is a foundation designed to give your face the boost it needs, regardless of the season.

Instant Age Rewind is a formula with avocado that restores moisture to your skin, essential in the drying days of mid-winter. It also adds caffeine to awaken and firm tired skin. Ultra-fine micro pearls help brighten skin for luminous, radiant coverage while SPF 18 protects skin and prevents new signs of aging.

Rewind 2

Instant Age Rewind comes in both liquid and cream formulas, so you can choose the formula and coverage that’s right for you. There is even a concealer formulated with caffeine and silk to give a lift to the under eye area while hiding dark circles. The concealer comes in fair, light, medium, dark and yellow shades. The foundation is available in 12 shades that range from Porcelain Ivory to Cocoa.
