Spring is in full swing and so are frilly, feminine sundresses, and fresh looks for face, hair and even nails. This spring, uncover those nails and strip off the dark colors of fall and winter; we are going lighter - shimmering pastels to white, french manicure to barely-there pinks.
Some recommended products:
* Sally Hansen Star Opal Nail Glaze - wear alone or with a french manicure. Eight pastel shades that glide on shiny and smooth in just 1 coat. Real crushed opals to give that iridescent shimmer.
* Revlon’s Sweet Nothings Radiant Lacquer - pearls of pigment in luscious pastels that add shine and dazzle. Six pastel to sheer shades. DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free.
* L’oreal Bijou Facets collection. Pastel shades with optic fibers to create a dimensional and unique look. Try Hopeful, Pure, Innocent and Sweet shades for a girlish, spring look.

Spring is here and as the weather warms it’s time for feet to come out and be seen in flip-flops, sandals and sexy slings. If you haven’t been kind to your feet all winter, now’s the time to get them in super shape with an invigorating scrub.
You’d be surprised at the number of scrubs on the market that are specifically for feet. A good number of them contain menthol or peppermint, which leave the feet feeling fresh and renewed. But there are other options available as well.
A scrub will exfoliate dead and dry skin, leaving the feet smooth. Nothing looks worse than flaky, dry heels and in sandals your feet are on display. Soak feet in warm water, then massage the scrub all over feet. Rinse with warm water. Follow up with a lightly scented moisturizing lotion and your feet will feel brand-new.

Spring weather is unpredictable. That sunny, dry morning can turn into a misty, wet afternoon. My straight-as-a-board hairstyle doesn’t fare well when the moisture content of the air goes up, and it’s days like this that I wish I could bring my hair dryer, styling brush and straightening iron along for touch-ups.
In search of portable products, I came across the inFiniTi hairstyler by Conair.
This little all-in-one comes with everything you need to style hair quickly and with only one tool. Equipped with detangling combs and a 3 heat setting airflow from its 700 watt motor, it combs, styles and/or pre-dries hair for straightening. The straightening attachment has four tension settings for perfect control and the plates are Tourmaline Ceramic, so they’re gentle to hair. Ion output helps control frizzies for silkier, shinier hair. Finish up with the cool setting to lock in your style and you are ready to go.
At $59.99 this product is a bargain, considering all the tools it replaces. Now, if they only made a cordless version…

All around me are the sounds of a spring storm. The wind elicits groans out of winter-weary tree limbs and throws raindrops against the glass like a desperate lover tossing pebbles at the window to signal his arrival. This is no gentle spring shower, this is a storm.
With all this grey surrounding me, I had to write of something sunnier and I found something gold and gorgeous to light up this dreary day.
L’Oreal’s Wear Infinite Eyeshadow Quartets contain the perfect bronze, gold, amber, copper and cocoa shades to make eyes shimmer and highlight them against the bronze glow we all plan to have this summer. I like the Golden Sunshine quad. For deeper tones there is the Bronze Sunset shade collection.
Rage as it will, the storm will soon give over to warmer, sunnier summer and I may just hurry it along by giving my eyes that summer shimmer today.
